ALSIM’s AATD features Cirrus Perspective by Garmin system to provide the most authentic learning experience possible. Garmin is the same hardware and software that Cirrus aircraft uses, identical to what you would use in the air. Our decision to select the ALSIM for our students is because it’s the most effective flight simulator available. It is also a cost-effective complementary addition to in-flight training which improves your overall learning.
Emergencies and Inclement Weather
Pilots must be prepared for emergencies and inclement weather. The simulator is capable of accurately replicating adverse weather conditions such as flying into known ice ( FIKI), convective activity, and low visibility.
In emergencies, you may not have enough time to refer to the Checklist or POH. This is why having a simulator that is identical to the actual aircraft is crucial. It helps to develop and sustain muscle memory, making you a more confident and competent pilot.
